Notice Inviting Price Bids No. 4/2011

                    Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Electricity Distribution Franchisee in the rural areas of East Garo Hills District, South Garo Hills District and West Garo Hills District, from User’s Associations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Villages bodies, Co-operatives societies, Self Help Groups (SHGs) including Women’s group and individual entrepreneurs.


                    The bid documents containing the Terms and Conditions for Distribution Franchisee and other relevant information may be obtained from the office of the Chief Executive Officer (East Garo Hills Circle) ,MeECL, Williamnagar for East Garo Hills District & South Garo Hills District and Chief Executive Officer (West Garo Hills Circle), Tura for East Garo Hills District on all working days between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM latest by 25th August 2011 against a payment of a non-refundable amount of Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred) only vide demand draft/ bankers cheque drawn in favour of the “Principal Account, MeECL”, payable at Shillong. The complete bidding document may also be downloaded from the website of MeECL, viz.www.meseb.nic.in.


                    Interested bidders are to submit the EOI in the prescribed format at ANNEXURE-A of the bid document to the respective Chief Executive Officer within 26th August 2011. Those bidders who download the Bid Document directly from the website are to submit the EOI along with a payment of Rs.100.00 (Rupees One hundred) only, as indicated above.


                    A training programme shall be conducted by the MeECL for those who submit EOI, prior to submission of the final bid.

                    Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited reserves the right to reject or accept any of the EoIs without assigning any reason thereof.
