Notice Inviting Price Bids No. 2/2011

              The Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited hereby invited submission of bids for Electricity Distribution Franchisee in the rural areas of Jaintia Hills District, Ri Bhoi District and East Khasi Hills District. Only those who have submitted Expressions of Interest and have been trained by the H.R.D. Centre, Me.E.C.L are eligible to submit Bids.

              Interest bidders are to submit the Price Bids as follows:

1. Bids along with the Earnest Money Deposit are to be submitted in accordance with the instructions given in the Bidding Documents.

2. Bids are to be enclosed in a sealed envelope and also marked "Price Bid for Rural Distribution Franchisee in Jaintia Hills / Ri Bhoi / East Khasi Hills District".

3. The bids shall be accepted on all working days from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the office of the Chief Engineer (Distribution). The last date for submission is 21^st June 2011 at 3:00 PM.

4. The Price Bids shall be opened on 21^st June 2011 at 4:00 PM in the Lum Jingshai Conference Room.

              The Corrigendum/Addendum to the Terms and Conditions for Distribution Franchisee and the list of clusters (including security deposit amount) are enclosed. The complete bidding document can also be downloaded from the website of Me.E.C.L., viz. www.meseb.nic.in.

              Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the bids without assigning any reason thereof.
