Notice Inviting Tender No.1/2010

                   Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Electricity Distribution Franchisee in the rural areas of East Khasi Hills District, West Khasi Hills District, Ri Bhoi District and Jaintia Hills District from User’s Associations, Non-Governmental organizations (NGOs), Village bodies, Co-operative societies, Self Help Groups (SHGs) including Women’s group and individual entrepreneurs.  

                   The bid documents containing the Terms and Conditions for Distribution Franchisee and other relevant information may be obtained from the office of the Chief Executive Officer, (Central Circle), MeECL, Shillong for East Khasi Hills District & West Khasi Hills District; Chief Executive Officer, (Western Circle), MeECL, Umiam for Ri Bhoi District; Chief Executive Officer, (Eastern Circle), MeECL, Jowai for Jaintia Hills District on all working days between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, latest by 15th September 2010 against a payment of a non-refundable amount of Rs 100/- (Rupees One hundred) only vide demand draft drawn in favour of the "Principal Account, MeECL", payable at Shillong. The complete bidding document can also be downloaded from the website of MeECL, viz. www.meseb.nic.in.

                   Interested bidders are to submit the EOI in the prescribed format at ANNEXURE- A of the bid document to the respective Chief Executive Officer of the district within the 30th September 2010 . Those bidders who download the Bid Document directly from the website are to submit the EOI along with a payment of Rs 100.00 (Rupees one hundred only) as indicated above.

                   A training programme shall be conducted by the MeECL for those who submit EOI, prior to submission of the final bid. The last date for submission of bids in the office of the Chief Engineer (Distribution), MeECL, Lum Jingshai, Shillong shall be notified subsequently.

                   Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited reserves the right to reject or accept any of the bids without assigning any reason thereof.
