TRANSFERS AND POSTINGS

68. Transfer and Postings

  1. A member of a class of service may be required to serve in any post borne on the cadre of such class of service and in any place of duty as the exigencies of the administration require.

  2. The Board may transfer a Board employee from one post to another, of the service Provided that except on account of inefficiency or misbehavior or on his written request, a Board employee shall not be transferred substantively to, or except in a case covered by regulation 27 appointed to officiate in a post carrying less pay than the Pay of the permanent post on which he holds a lien or would hold alien had his lien not been suspended under regulation -22. 

  3. Nothing in sub-regulation (2) or in clause 20 of regulation 3 shall operate to prevent the  re-transfer of a Board employee to the post on which he would hold a lien had it not been suspended in accordance with the provision of regulation 22.  

  4. All transfers and postings shall be made by the appointing authority or such authority who has been authorised in this regard by the appointing authority. 

Provided that any authority to whom the appointing authority is administratively subordinate will in respect of any post within the jurisdiction of the appointing authority shall be competent to effect transfers and postings to a post within the jurisdiction aforesaid.
