7. Reservation of posts for direct recruitment

  1. Notwithstanding the method of recruitment as specified in the Annexure in Schedule - I the Board may from time to time specify the posts under various categories in the services of Board, which may be filled in by direct recruitment.

  2. The Board shall from time to time decide the period during which it will resort to direct recruitment to each of the categories.

  3. Subject to any modifications that the Board may at its discretion decide, the posts which are to be filled by direct recruitment under various categories in the services of Board are indicated in the Annexures in Schedule - I.

8. Procedure for direct recruitment

  1. The Board or any officer authorized by it may first estimate the number of vacancies for which direct recruitment is proposed to be made.

  1. The Board or any officer authorized by the Board may advertise in news papers and call for applications for posts to be filled by direct recruitment.

Provided that the list of eligible candidates for appointment to which it is 'necessary to call for candidates from employment exchanges may be obtained by the Board or officer authorized by the Board from the concerned employment exchange.

  1. Such advertisement as is referred to in sub-reg.(1 )(i) above, should inter alia contain the following:

  1. The number of estimated vacancies to be filled in, including those for reserved categories.

  2. Educational qualifications and experience required.

  3. Whether any written Examination will be conducted and if so the subjects therefor and the details of syllabus.

  4. The fee for obtaining applications, if any, and the fee payable, along with completed application form.

  5. Centres for the examination.

  6. Whether oral interview will be conducted

  7. Whether T.A. will be paid for attending the written examination or oral interview.

  8. The period of probation

  9. The period of training, if any, and stipend payable during the period of training.

  1. The applications received in response to an advertisement made by the Board or the officer authorized by the Board shall be scrutinized and a list of candidates eligible for appearing for the written test shall be prepared.

  2. Such eligible candidates will be called for appearing for the written examination at a centre on the day and at the time specified by the Board.

  1. The Board shall constitute from time to time committees for selection of candidates for appointment to any category in any service through direct recruitment.

  1. On the basis of the marks obtained in the written examination by each candidate and in pursuance of the rule of reservation notified by the Government and adopted by the Board from time to time, the selection committee shall prepare in the order of merit a list containing the names of eligible candidates for appointm43nt.

  2. The Board, if it decides to conduct an oral interview, shall call for oral interview from the list referred to in clause (i) such number of candidates as are required for the purpose based on the number of vacancies available.

  3. Based on the performance of candidates in the interview, the selection committee shall prepare a list of candidates eligible for appointment.

  4. The Board or the officer authorized by the Board reserves the right to accept in whole or in part the recommendation of Selection Committee.

  5. The Board or the officer authorized by the Board shall make appointments to the candidates in the order of preference given in the list referred to in clause (iii) subject to the rule of reservation.
